The drive from Nafplio to Lake Doxa is via Nemea, Stymfalia Lake, and the mountain village of Goura is a highly scenic journey through the heart of the Peloponnese. This route covers approximately 103 km and typically takes around 2 hours of pure driving time. However, given the mountain roads and several key stops, it is best enjoyed as a full-day road trip

Ancient Nemea is a historic site in the northeastern Peloponnese, celebrated for its blend of myth, athletics, and agriculture.
- Mythology: Famous as the site of Heracles’ first labor, where he defeated the impenetrable Nemean Lion.
- The Panhellenic Games: From 573 BC, it hosted the Nemean Games, one of ancient Greece’s four major athletic festivals alongside the Olympics.
- Archaeological Treasures: Home to the Sanctuary of Zeus (4th century BC) and a remarkably preserved ancient stadium featuring a 36-meter vaulted entrance tunnel used by athletes.
- The Aidonia Chamber Tombs are Mycenaean Cemetery. Dating primarily from the 15th to the 13th century BCE., the site is renowned for both its architectural variety and its role in a famous international repatriation case involving looted gold. This collection, known as the Aidonia Treasure, is now displayed at the Archaeological Museum of Nemea
Environment Museum of Stymphalia is located on the slopes of the hills surrounding Lake Stymphalia in the Peloponnese. Opened in 2010, the museum focuses on the interdependence of humanity and nature in the Stymphalia basin, the southernmost mountain wetland in the Balkans. Panoramic Views: The museum’s architectural design features a steel balcony offering unhindered views of the lake valley.
Lake Doxa is a stunning artificial lake in Corinthia, Greece, often called the “Switzerland of Corinth,” featuring a central peninsula with the small Agios Fanourios chapel and surrounding pine forests at 900m elevation. Nearby, the historic 17th-century Saint George Monastery (Feneos) provides panoramic views of the lake and offers, for visitors, local sweets and, for hikers, easy access to scenic, tranquil surroundings

- Revolutionary Role: During the Greek War of Independence (1821), it served as the regional headquarters for the Filiki Eteria (Friendly Society) and a secret school for teaching Greek.

For Private Tours: Traveller pickup/drop off is offered from/to your hotel/apartment in/ from Athens centre up to 7 km, at the arranged time of your tour departure or your tour return.
We recommend that the tour starts at 08:00 am. If for any reason this is not convenient, you can adjust the time according to your needs.
- Additional charge is applicable *25€ per way from longer pickup/drop off locations, more than 7 km from Athens city center.
- *Piraeus Port (distance 12km), *Piraeus Cruise Terminal (Distance 14km)
- This charge does not Include: **Airport (distance 36km) or **Lavrion Port (distance 75km) **This is under prior agreement with the agent’s office
You Have the options of 3 different Vehicles types:

Your tour is private & flexible and available from/ to Athens or from/ to Nafplio. However we only request to have in mind the agreement hours. But if you like to extend it, please make a fair arrangement with your tour driver/ leader. Additional charge per hour is 30€ (Sedan/SUV) – 45€ (Minivan) – 60€ (Minibus).

Opening hours & Dates for Ancient Nemea: Same opening hours for the Archaeological Museum, the Archaeological Site of the Temple of Zeus, and the Archaeological Site of the Stadium.
Summer opening hours (01/04-31/10): Open all days of the week. 01 to 30 April: 08:00-19:00, 02 May to 31 August: 08:00-20:00, 01 to 15 September: 08:00-19:30, 16 to 30 September: 08:00-19:00, 01 to 15 October: 08:00-18:30, 16 to 31 October: 08: 00-18:00.
Winter opening hours (01/11-31/03): 08:00-15:30, Closed on Tuesdays.
The Site and the Museum will be open on Easter Monday, Monday of the Holy Spirit, August 15 and October 28.
Closed on Holidays / only for Sites – museums. The wineries remain open but reservation/ confirmation needed.

The following categories of visitors are entitled to 50% reduced admission in tickets:
- Senior citizens over 65 from Greece or other EU member-states, upon presentation of their ID card or passport for verification of their age and country of origin, during the period from 1st of October to 31st of May
- Parents accompanying primary education schools visits from EU member-states and the European Economic Area.
- Escorting teachers of educational visits of schools and institutions of primary, secondary and tertiary education from non European Union countries.

Regarding the Daily Tours: Cancellations up to 24 hours before your travel date are 100% refundable as described on Viator/ TripAdvisor.
Cancellation Policy:
- Licensed Tour Guides are external co-operators & they have their own cancellation policy.
- Hotels/Bookings are external co-operators & they have their own cancellation policy and after reservation (Booking), refund is not possible
- Apart from the above cancellation limits, refunds will be made:
- If though, you fail to make your appointment for reasons that are out of your hands, that would be, in connection with the operation of your airline or cruise ship or strikes, extreme weather conditions or medical reasons, you will be refunded 50% of the paid amount.
- If your request cancellation date, for multiple day tour is over (3) months away from your reservation date, it has been known for third-party providers have their own cancellation policy, plus credit card companies, PayPal, etc. to charge a levy fee usually somewhere between 2-4%. Behind this there is a demand 10% of the total offer amount for the office service, which is not refundable.
- See All Views Travel reserves the right to cancel your booking at any time, when reasons beyond our control arise, such as strikes, prevailing weather conditions, medical or pandemic reasons, etc. occur. In this unfortunate case, you shall be immediately notified via the email address you used when making your reservation and your payment will be refunded 100%.
