Itinerary/ Route - Highlights /Photos
1) Corinth Canal, famous for being one of the narrowest navigable canals in the world, with dramatic, near-vertical rock walls Links the Gulf of Corinth (Ionian Sea) with the Saronic Gulf (Aegean Sea).
Length & Width: Approximately 6.4 km (4 miles) long and only about 25 meters wide, making it impassable for most modern large ships. A millennia-old dream, first conceived in ancient Greece (7th century BC) and attempted by Roman Emperor Nero, but only completed in 1893.
Drive a unique coastal scenic winding road, roughly 1.5-hour (about 60 km) southeast through the Argolis/ Peloponnese, taking you from the Corinth Canal through hilly, green, and pine-forested terrain directly to the ancient sanctuary and theater of Epidaurus. The route is well-paved, peaceful, and offers beautiful glimpses of the Argolic landscape.

- The Abaton (Enkoimeterion): A long hall where patients underwent enkoimesis (sacred sleep), hoping the god would visit their dreams to provide a cure or medical advice.
- The Ancient Theatre: A 4th-century BCE architectural masterpiece famous for its perfect acoustics and 14,000-seat capacity. Drama was considered essential for emotional catharsis and healing.
- The Tholos: An enigmatic circular building with a subterranean maze, possibly used for mystical rituals or to house the god’s sacred snakes.
- Holistic Facilities: The complex included a stadium for athletic games, bathhouses for purification, and a 160-room hostel (Katagogeion) for pilgrims

3) Nafplion is a charming, romantic coastal town in the eastern Peloponnese. It features a picturesque Old Town with neoclassical mansions, Venetian architecture, and the imposing Palamidi Fortress. Renowned for its stunning seaside views, bougainvillea-lined streets, and proximity to major archaeological sites, it is a premier year-round destination.
- Historic Capital: It served as the first official capital of modern Greece after the War of Independence from 1823 to 1834.
- Iconic Fortresses: Three major castles dominate the skyline: the hilltop Palamidi Fortress, the island-bound Bourtzi Castle, and the ancient Akronafplia.
- Vibrant Atmosphere: The town features Syntagma Square, a bustling hub of cafes and historical sites, and a scenic waterfront promenade perfect for sunset strolls.

4) Mycenae is a premier Bronze Age (1600–1100 B.C.) archaeological site in Greece, famed as the kingdom of the mythical Agamemnon. This hilltop citadel, known for its massive Cyclopean walls, Lion Gate, and rich royal tombs, was the dominant power center of the Mycenaean civilization
- Highlights: Notable for the iconic Lion Gate, the Grave Circles (A and B), the Megaron (palace), and the “Treasury of Atreus”.
- Mythology: Known as the home of Agamemnon, who led the Greek forces in the Trojan War.

4) Ancient Corinth was a powerful, wealthy Greek city-state strategically located on the Isthmus connecting the Peloponnese to mainland Greece. Famed as a major, prosperous trade hub, it featured the prominent Temple of Apollo, the Acrocorinth citadel, and was later rebuilt by Romans before becoming a key center for early Christianity, where Saint Paul preached.
Wealth & Power: One of the largest, most affluent cities of ancient Greece, often competing with Athens and Sparta.
History & Destruction: Originally Greek, destroyed by Rome in 146 BC, then rebuilt as a Roman colony by Julius Caesar in 44 BC.

For Private Tours: Traveller pickup/drop off is offered from/to your hotel/apartment in/ from Athens centre up to 7 km, at the arranged time of your tour departure or your tour return.
We recommend that the tour starts at 08:00 or earlier in summer time. If for any reason this is not convenient, you can adjust the time according to your needs.
- Additional charge is applicable *25€ per way from longer pickup/drop off locations, more than 7 km from Athens city center.

Regarding the Daily Tours: Cancellations up to 24 hours before your travel date are 100% refundable as described on Viator/ TripAdvisor.
Cancellation Policy:
- Licensed Tour Guides are external co-operators & they have their own cancellation policy.
- Hotels/Bookings are external co-operators & they have their own cancellation policy and after reservation (Booking), refund is not possible
- Apart from the above cancellation limits, refunds will be made:
- If though, you fail to make your appointment for reasons that are out of your hands, that would be, in connection with the operation of your airline or cruise ship or strikes, extreme weather conditions or medical reasons, you will be refunded 50% of the paid amount.
- If your request cancellation date, for multiple day tour is over (3) months away from your reservation date, it has been known for third-party providers have their own cancellation policy, plus credit card companies, PayPal, etc. to charge a levy fee usually somewhere between 2-4%. Behind this there is a demand 10% of the total offer amount for the office service, which is not refundable.
- See All Views Travel reserves the right to cancel your booking at any time, when reasons beyond our control arise, such as strikes, prevailing weather conditions, medical or pandemic reasons, etc. occur. In this unfortunate case, you shall be immediately notified via the email address you used when making your reservation and your payment will be refunded 100%.
