We visit Brauron, Lavrion, Sounion as travelers, not as tourists. We get as excited as you to travel, to enjoy the history, scenery & photography.
If you want to see most of Attica, then we suggest to combine all sites in a full day tour. Schedule is flexible, but most importantly we will view the sites from all different angles.
The day starts with a convenient pickup and takes you to Brauron. Visit the archaeological site (Artemis Temple) & Museum. Continue to Lavrion visit the oldest theater Thoricus in Greece. Next Cape Sounion. Visit Poseidon Temple with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the world (on a clear day you can see at least seven islands).

The Vravrona (Brauron) Artemis Temple, located in eastern Attica, is a serene 6th-century BC archaeological site dedicated to the goddess of wilderness and women. It is famous for the “Arkteia” ritual, where young girls (“little bears”) served the goddess. The site features a unique pi-shaped stoa, a sacred spring, and a nearby museum
- Location: East coast of Attica, near the Erasinus river.
- Significance: A major cult center focused on women, childbirth, and nature.
- Rituals: Young girls, called arktoi (bears), prepared for marriage through rituals.
- Site Features: Includes the remains of the temple, a stoa, a stone bridge, and a cave shrine.
- Museum: The Archaeological Museum of Vravrona houses many artifacts.
Lavrion Port (also known as Laurium), a historic and significant maritime hub in Greece.
- Ancient Heritage: Located near the tip of the Attica peninsula, the area is famous for its ancient silver mines which funded the Athenian fleet in antiquity.
- Industrial Charm: The town surrounding the port features neoclassical architecture and a relaxed, authentic Greek atmosphere compared to central Athens.
- Swim? Make the most of your trip by indulging in a refreshing swim in the small beach by the foot of the temple of Poseidon. Treat yourselves to some fresh fish and seafood in the local taverns. - Mythological: The Legend of Aegeus. Mythology holds that King Aegeus leapt to his death from these cliffs after mistakenly believing his son Theseus was dead, giving the Aegean Sea its name
- Scenic: Offers breathtaking, panoramic views of the sea, especially during its renowned sunset.
- Sunset Destination: It is widely considered one of the best spots in Greece to witness the sunset, as the golden light illuminates the white marble against the horizon.
- Strategic Point: In antiquity, it served as a vital fortified lookout to protect the sea lanes leading to Athens and the nearby silver mines of Lavrion.
The Temple of Poseidon Perched dramatically on the cliffs of Cape Sounion, stands as a magnificent sentinel overlooking the Aegean Sea. Built during the Golden Age of Pericles (c. 444–440 BC), this Doric masterpiece Originally featuring 34 slender marble columns, 15 still remain standing today, rising 60 meters above sea level.
- Historic/ Famous Graffiti: On one of the marble columns, you can still find the signature of Lord Byron, the English Romantic poet, carved during his visit in 1810.
- Sunset Spectacle: It is widely regarded as one of the best places in Greece to watch the sunset, as the golden light illuminates the ancient white marble against the deep blue water.

For Private Tours: Traveller pickup/drop off is offered from/to your hotel/apartment in/ from Athens centre up to 7 km, at the arranged time of your tour departure or your tour return. We recommend that the tour starts at 07:30 am or earlier in summer time. If for any reason this is not convenient, you can adjust the time according to your needs.
- Additional charge is applicable *25€ per way from longer pickup/drop off locations, more than 7 km from Athens city center.
- *Piraeus Port (distance 12km), *Piraeus Cruise Terminal (Distance 14km)
- This charge does not Include: **Airport (distance 36km) or **Lavrion Port (distance 75km) **This is under prior agreement with the agent’s office
You Have the options of 3 different Vehicles types: Price varies by Group Size or Vehicle type.
- Sedan (up to 2 adults + 2 kids – up to 10 years old free – Infant seat available).
- Minivan (from 1 to 7 persons – 2 kids/ up to 10 years old free. – Infant seats available)

Your tour driver provides informative audio documentary & historical details as you travel.
Your tour is private & flexible and available from/ to Athens. However we only request to have in mind the agreement hours. But if you like to extend it, please make a fair arrangement with your tour driver/ leader. Additional charge per hour is 30€ (Sedan/SUV) – 45€ (Minivan) – 60€ (Minibus).

Cancellation Policy

Regarding the Daily Tours: Cancellations up to 24 hours before your travel date are 100% refundable as described on Viator/ TripAdvisor.
Cancellation Policy:
- Licensed Tour Guides are external co-operators & they have their own cancellation policy.
- Hotels/Bookings are external co-operators & they have their own cancellation policy and after reservation (Booking), refund is not possible
- Apart from the above cancellation limits, refunds will be made:
- If though, you fail to make your appointment for reasons that are out of your hands, that would be, in connection with the operation of your airline or cruise ship or strikes, extreme weather conditions or medical reasons, you will be refunded 50% of the paid amount.
- If your request cancellation date, for multiple day tour is over (3) months away from your reservation date, it has been known for third-party providers have their own cancellation policy, plus credit card companies, PayPal, etc. to charge a levy fee usually somewhere between 2-4%. Behind this there is a demand 10% of the total offer amount for the office service, which is not refundable.
- See All Views Travel reserves the right to cancel your booking at any time, when reasons beyond our control arise, such as strikes, prevailing weather conditions, medical or pandemic reasons, etc. occur. In this unfortunate case, you shall be immediately notified via the email address you used when making your reservation and your payment will be refunded 100%.
